RESCUE DOGS AND THEIR HANDLERS
The K9 Novo mesto rescue dog unit was on Sunday, 9. On June 6, she proudly presented her work at the Open Day of the Jernej Molan Barracks in Cerklje ob Krki. The event attracted a large number of visitors who had the opportunity to get to know the different rescue and protection units and their activities.
A PRESENTATION OF OUR WORK
Our team, including experienced guides and their rescue dogs, showed visitors how to search for and rescue missing persons in different situations. Among them were Nina and Hulk (Taurunum Angel’s Odyssey), who charmed everyone with their skills and dedication.

Together with soldiers, firefighters and police officers, we demonstrated to visitors the importance of our cooperation and coordination in saving lives. Each unit presented its specific tasks and the equipment it uses in its work. Visitors could see simulations of rescue operations, try out equipment and talk to our members about their experiences and the challenges they face in the field.
MISSION
The event was an excellent opportunity to strengthen links between the different emergency services and the wider public. We are proud to have been able to participate and showcase our mission – to help people in need and save lives.
The K9 Novo mesto Rescue Dog Unit will continue to carry out its mission with full dedication and will cooperate with other rescue services in providing safety and assistance to all those in need.
